There have been several grader adaptations like what you are describing. They usually had a turntable under the tractor for the blade, and a means to pivot the blade in the vertical plane as well. Never have seen one work, but they were probably good for light road maintenance work. As far as snow removal is concerned, a mid mounted blade has shortcomings. For one, the snow piles up under the tractor, until you bottom out. Second, the pile of snow is always behind the front axle, preventing you from pushing it over "the edge", and you will have to pull your front wheels back through the pile of snow when you get to the end of the push. Mid mount blades also have a height limitation, for snow, you want a fairly tall blade - look at the blades they sell for pickup trucks. Most versatile for tractor snow plowing would be a front mounted plow with angle adjustment, and a fairly high lift capability as in a blade mounted in place of the bucket on a manure loader. Rear mounted blades, such as three point hitch models also come up short for similar reasons.
