I bought a new Branson 2400 (24 hp 2000#) FEL 4wd usual accommodations in 2016. I noticed that too. First thing I did was to make a set of rear wheel spacers (since the rears weren't adjustable) to move the rears out farther. I designed for 5' max width because I wanted to use a 5' rotary mower with it and wanted to cover my tracks. Made a difference in stability but sacrificed the foot-lb thing: Moving the tires out, made the distance part of "foot-lbs" longer so when I hit a "chug hole" or rock or what have you and the lifting force was applied to the tractor it was increased by the distance.....getting a soft ride in that little sucker is a story in itself, but I am finally there....even with the 4" extensions.
