If I were you and the body was still in good shape I would fix it. That was a very good car. I had three of them, '89, '93, and '97 and they were good on gas. I got 20 MPG in the city and 27 on the highway cruising at 70 MPH. They would corner at 90 MPH. So what did Nasser do, he took them out of production and replaced them with that little chit kicker that nobody could fit into. The new Cougar only sold about 50,000 units per year and it replaced the old one that sold 125,000 units per year. Of course he called it a success!
