What's the Best Dollar-For-Dollar Carb Soaking Solution ???

I know most of us have tried almost everything to soak a carb in. What have you found to be the BEST dollar-for-dollar carb soaking solution to really do the job (safely) on a carburetor? I have used weak solutions of acids at times followed by boiling the castings in a mild soap solution then plain boiling water, then a quick blowout with compressed air through all ports. Seems to work pretty good (and it's cheap) but I'm sure a lot of guys might disagree. Some of the real professional solutions can send a guy to the poor house but they must work.
