My question would have to be how long of a time are you talking about for it to bleed down?? 5 minutes? 2 hours? overight? I would try one thing before tearing apart anything. Get a bucket full of material in back. Roll all the way under. Strech out the arm as far as it will reach and see what happens when you try to raise it with the boom. If it raises fairly normal I would swap the port relief valves as suggested if it is so equipped. I don`t kow the specifics of your machine. Should the problem go to the other side, you have found your problem. If no port reliefs, then go to the seals and test the cylnder for by-pass. If you`re not sure of yourself, ask again so you don`t get sprayed with high pressure oil.
