A typical cause of no spark is points that are burned or carboned or not adjusted and closing properly CHECK AND CLEAN POINTS FIRST AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS......
Before guessing and throwing parts at it if you work through my Troubleshooting Procedure it will help find the cause of no fire, run it and let me know and post back results and questions
