The transmission oil pump also pumps oil forward the the oil cooler and the main hydraulic pump.
The longer it takes the oil in the cooler (sort of a reserve tank above the main pump) and the main hydraulic pump to drain away back to the sump, the better. Once the cooler and pump have drained completely, the system will act as you describe at startup.
There's a check valve inside the main rear case of the tractor that is supposed to keep the oil from the pump and cooler from draining back through the transmission pump and lube circuit to "sump".
Sometimes, things go wrong in that check valve area, and it no longer stops the backflow of oil.
Checking and repairing it requires the 3-point or blank rear cover and transmission pump be removed.
There is a "workaround" that works on 4020's and other models, I'm NOT sure it will work with a 4010.
I suggest you also post this lower down on the page at the DEERE-specific site.
Transmission pump is at the upper right and beyond, check valve seat is #34. cahck valve is #35, spring is #36.
