If it is all metal and you are very careful, muriatic acid works amazing. I filled my 81 f250 radiator (with it out of the rig) and let it sit for 15 min. Then I flushed it very well and filled it with baking soda water, just in case.... reflushed and installed. Literally cleaned all the deposits out. I would not let it sit longer than 15 min, it will eventually eat thru it.
