For those of you unequipped to text, you can send an email converted to text to the seller. They provide their phone number, and you do have to be able to identify the carrier- usually you can Google the number and the responses will tell you. Then send an email to theirphonenumber@txt.att.net or which ever carrier they have.
Clearly, this is not ideal, but if there is an item you truly need and they are only receiving texts, you can at least reach out to them.
Google can provide instructions and links for every carrier.
