Skip the gasket entirely! Use Permatex Red RTV in place of a gasket. It's quick, always fits perfectly, seals great and it's cheap. Just make sure the mating surfaces are thoroughly clean, and don't use too much of the stuff (a 3/16" dia bead is generally plenty) I've been using red RTV successfully for a variety of tractor gaskets (just about everything but the head gasket!) for the last 10 years or so.
