True rotational inertia is higher with cast weights but linear inertia is higher with fluid tires as the "slosh" hit the front of back while braking or accelerating. Stress is less with external dry weights.
Flats are easier to repair & less messy. Weight can be removed when heavy tillage is complete to limit soil compaction.
Rolling friction is much reduced when a dry tire isn't pumping fluid everytime treads touch & release from the ground.
Try rolling an old tractor tire with 20 gallons of water in the carcass vs. rolling the same tire after dumping the water out.
A two wheel drive bias ply tractor can't efficiently use all the engine power at speeds over 5mph ( get a wider plough etc) or if it's can't maintain 3 mph under load ( get a narrower plough etc).
Two wheel drive bias tired tractors should weight 110 to 145 lbs per HP & have 25 to 35% of the weight on the front wheels while sitting idle.
So unless there is a loader on the tractor just run dry radials, save money & do more work.
