Greg, I agree with CJ, the volume from the pump will be low enough that it won't be much of a consideration. With industrial hydraulic systems, the rule of thumb is to keep the pressure side line velocity below 20 feet per second, and on the return side keep the velocity below 5 feet per second. This can be calculated by dividing the GPM by the square area of the hydraulic line. Of course, with the math the terms will have to match. Ken McWilliams
