In your soil with the size rocks you mention, might just be ok. If the plow will perform at lower speeds, you'll feel the obstruction and might be able to stop soon enough. I used a 2 bottom ferguson for a number of years in these soils, lot of round head glacial till rocks, up to basket ball size. What would stop the tractor was roots or small stumps in new areas that were cleared. I'd just stop, and free it up, then continue. My 110 ford single bottom works well in the worst section of soil with these rocks, it never trips, they just roll off and around. It is shear bolt protected, only thing that trips it is tree roots and or sometimes shale outcrops that are shallow.
