Getting my tractor moving

My Ford 600 gas tractor won't start...was running earlier then i was away for most of the summer and now it won't. Have pulled a plug and not getting any spark...the rotor had corrosion on it...sanded that off and did some trouble shooting...seem to have power to the ignition coil...could it be i need a new rotor? or what else could i check...there seems to be gasoline in the cylinder when i pulled the plug???
