Why don't you tell us what you are trying to accomplish....I know 9N's and 2N's pretty well. You can get to the tranny by removing the tranny cover...but you can't fix bearing or broken gears without splitting the tractor behind the tranny. As for the clutch housing, if anything is a problem there, it requires a split.. There is an open oil passage into the tranny housng below the steering gear box, but it's really not useful forservice access.. Good Luck
