Can put that on my tombstone , fight the mud every year, my farm was peat bog wetlands drained out and called class A farmland and taxed like it�s the best ground in the world, but with the ditch splitting the farm in half and all the snow melt and typically spring rains, it�s a mud battle every single year.
Right now 1/3 of my farm is under water, not an inch but a foot, little more than normal but not real unusual.
Insurance planting date is April 11th and the experts keep telling me to plant early but don�t compact your soil wait for it to dry out but oh you are a failure at farming if you aren�t all done by May 1st.....
Last year I got oats planted May 5th, rest of crops were planted until June 25th..... in mud, mostly.
