I don't know anything about CLR. I helped my father unstick several engines when I was young. We would start with a penetrating oil like Liquid Wrench. After a couple of days we would pour the cylingers full of diesel everyday for several days and then start trying to get the engine to move. We also used Marvel Mystery Oil at times but I think he thought it was too expensive. I use Marvel Mystery Oil for this purpose with great success. The cost is not as much a concern for me. My last stuck engine turned out to be 2 stuck exhaust valves. The pushrods finally bent and I was able to get the engine to turn over. In hindsite I noticed that there was a little crankshaft movement which I now realize was backlash in the valve train. Because of the sugar in Coca Cola that idea scares me. CLR may have the acidity without the sugar. Vinagar may work but I would keep a close eye on any of these ideas in case it starts to do damage you do not want. An oil product like diesel or Marvel Mystery Oil wont do any collateral damage (ain't it amazing we all probably know what "collateral damage" means). Good Luck
