I have 3 cyl Ford diesels and they run pretty smooth. Also have a 4 cyl 2000 and it runs even smoother. I used to have 3 JD 6 cyls and they were really smooth. On that part, smoother running. On frame, not familiar with them but my JDs were row crops and lots of climbing to get to your work station. Currently don't have that problem and it's better on tired old legs. One Ford is a 3910 that is an earlier 30 series and it's a small frame, under 50 hp but OEM setup up for Cat I or II. Gives me the whoope of the larger frame without the size.
