Another question about the weight of tractors

Thanks for the previous information. But I am still left scratching my head. On the serial number on the 4440, which is located above the door on the cab, it says that the tractors test weight was 16,800. The links I looked at said the tractor weighed 10,OOO something pounds. This tractor is only a 2wd. It will pull a 14' 501 IH disk like there is no tomorrow, pretty sure the fuel pump is turned up. I had always thought the tractor weighed 10-12K pounds, which the link says it does.
