Lots of cotton rotting in the fields around me. Only saw one field of about 50 acres harvested (large plastic rolls) and it was half brown and half white......poor quality and not much of it. Last year that field put out 4-5x the number of rolls, snow white, in season, as was the case for the other fields in the area last year.
Have a friend that was running 3k acres and lost a cotton crop one year due to weather, was the begging of the end for them as the bank owned the crop and they couldn't financially recover from the loss.
