The Travelers (descendents of the Irish Travellers use two Ls in the name, other sects do not) have a fairly large population in SC. It is a bit early this year, but annually they hit the highway to "travel" and scam some more money. Some paint, some pour oil on driveways and call it sealant, some do horrible paving, and a few others sell stolen meat out of the back of a pickup. They used to not mind being called Gypsies but now many take offense. Travelers, Gypsies, and Roaders are all nomadic, tribal folks.
