we've had good luck with our Chryslers and have had (still have 1) 2 with over 240,000 miles and others in the 170-210,000 mile ranges.
our 2003 T&C was pretty good. only had a couple issues. 1 mice chewed a wire in the harness under the battery. and the 2nd i had to replace the computer. had 165000 before it was T-boned (55MPH) and totaled
I would guess you have a bad wire harness or a bad or loose connector somewhere. as others have suggested ground too. grounds are easy to look at. make sure the ground strap(s) to the motor are good and have good clean connections to the frame and motor.
otherwise try checking the major connectors to see if they are loose or look like they've been exposed to alot of water.
