I had one stop here 6 years ago from South Carolina wanting to paint my barn. I told him I was close on funds that week so he came back a week later. After he left the first time I called my wife's cousin in the next town over from his address and he checked out. They spend the summer in Minnesota (some of you might have had him stop by too) When the weather turns cooler they start migrating back home for the winter.
They stopped again last year (2018) and wanted to do the barn again. I told him no because they cut the paint with diesel fuel. He said they use Behr barn paint straight out of the bucket. Had him put the price on paper, listing roof and walls separate along with what paint was to be used. My hearing is almost gone so I might not hear him correctly! I told him the price sounded good so have at it. They did the sides in red. When he switched over to silver for the roof the "painter" poured in 2 6 gallon buckets of diesel fuel first, then 1 bucket of generic paint. I stopped him there and called the boss. I asked how soon they could be off my place or I call the police. I paid for the walls and told him I would not pay for the roof and they better not come back.
We were in South Carolina in December and we drove by his place on the way to lunch one day. Place looks as good as his worker's truck.

Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a
