Charlie; I've been fooling around with old engines for years. I use automatic transmission fluid. It is very high in detergent and cleans parts very well. I remove the spark plugs and fill the bores full and re-install the plugs, after about three days I see if the engine will turn, use the hand crank if it has one. A socket and breaker bar on the crank pulley will also work. DON'T force the engine, if moderate pressure won't move it let soak a few more days. It will free up if you keep the bores full of ATF. Again don't force the engine you can break the rings and score the sleeves, which might be reusable if you're careful. I own several old tractors that run like a top without overhauls, that had stuck motors when I got them. Good Luck, J.L.
