1010 JD engine rebuilding snafu

I need to get with someone that has recently rebuilt a 1010 diesel. I ran across a problem with what I think is timing. All my marks are lined up on front of engine.. My oil pump points to # 4 cylinder with drill mark..The injector pump lines are lined up in window..Blows gray smoke when running..It's a 145 motor so I lined up correct mark on gears
