For non-deisel tighten evenly and 110 ft lbs .
Deisel is 110 - 135 ft lbs .
By evenly I would do a cross pattern .
Also when I did mine I went to 40 ft lbs then increased torque in increments . Aircraft mechanics tighten similar . they tighten like three times till they hit the specified torque .
Hope this helps . got this torque from an I&T
manual . do not forget to retorque after you have run the engine for awhile if the gasket requires retorqueing
