In my job designing electronics enclosures for aerospace use, we sometimes are looking for every little heat transfer advantage, and have found that there is very little difference between the characteristics of various colors in the infrared band, which is the wavelength where heat radiation occurs. If you stay away from glossy white, you will see almost no difference until you get to some special black paints. In other words, no, there really isn't an advantage painting an engine black instead of red, green, blue, yellow, etc.
