Hey Mike,,,,I was in the Air Force in the early '70's. The last B52's were made in the late 50's. (The H model). I don't know how many we have, but on Guam when we were bombing North Viet Nam, we had 150 stationed there from many different bases. D & G models. I know of only one E model, and they were using that one for parts. The D models were never set up to carry nukes. The H models were never used in Viet Nam. I think the only ones still in operation are the H models, but I'm not sure, since I've been out for about 25 years. They were made by Boeing, and most were mfg'd in Kansas (Witcheta I think) They have 8 engines, the G models has General Electric, don't know for sure on the other models.
