Years ago an older neighbor told us that if you put groups of chickens together you should do it at night, and that the chickens who were already there would accept any chicken that was there when they woke up as "one of us". It's worked well for me the few times I've tried it, with less pecking and chasing than when new birds go in during the day. Zach
