I know a guy who said that he ran that line through some sort of a variable resistor that he hooked up. I think he used a variable switch of some sort from a fan motor (different speeds controlled by the switch). Don't know any more details on that part. Keep in mind that you have a 3rd brush generator there. There are a few good articles in the archives on those generators. The charge rate can be controlled at the generator itself (not immediately or conveniently of course) by moving the 3rd brush. The third brush is the one that is not fixed in place and is actually on some sort of an adjustable anchor plate. This gives you a basic control only - obviously it's not something that can be changed very easily.
