I plowed snow for a commercial outfit for 12 years with my skid steer and a scraper like the one in your second picture. They always put me in the parking lots because I could gather the snow verses wind-rowing it. I also got the short driveways in the townhouses as I could go right up to the garage door and pull back. Another benefit was it would give over and around unseen objects.
