it was a lot of things. Management, labor unions, interest rates, grain embargoes, the economy, all had an equal share in that debacle. Labor unions wanted to put one to managment. Managment wanted to put one to the unions. More than enough greed and short-sightedness on both sides to go around. It all ended up with a lot of people out of work and what was the worlds largest producer of farm machinery destroyed. I hope they are all happy now. Just my 2 cents, and they are not even copper anymore!
