You're giving up a lot of weight and traction by removing the cast hub and any weights that may be attached. Also if your inner tires are loaded with fluid, you lose that too. So while your tires may be new, your tractor will have no "a$$" and will just sit on top and spin.
The stamped steel may work okay for light chores but they're not designed to support the weight of the entire tractor in hard pulls.
A professional tire guy can have them swapped over in a couple of hours, for a fraction of the cost of new tires.
