Wayne, I have a JD 950 with turf tires, front end loader and 8' blade and use a set of chains during the winter. They give me good traction, even in deep snow. They're a bit difficult to put on, especially when I wait until that 20 deg. day with a foot of snow. Last year I used bungee cords to remove slack by stringing them side to side across the outside face of each tire. This really helped. KEG
