Once the intake and exhaust piping got moved from the hood to other areas like a 60 series Deere then the front post becomes a nuisance. I don't notice the post as much on the earlier ones as there was a muffler there anyway. Even the 986 has the exhaust coming out of the hood and is in that same line of sight. I think the curved glass is more of an issue at night than the cab post is any time. But, to stay somewhat with the original topic, there will never be an overall no complaints tractor everyone will agree upon. My example is my 4430 Deere, while I like it and it has given me great service,and I have no complaints about it, a lot of people say they are junk.
