Any thoughts on that model, pro or con? I've got an old spreader of indeterminate make that I have been cobbling on for years. Put a new bottom chain in about 15 years ago- links have started breaking again (shovel it out each time- ugh), and the side boards need replaced. Bushings on the drive chains are very sloppy. No immediate indication that SWMBO is going to get rid of the horses during my lifetime, so its time to upgrade.
Found a 519 for $2,000, supposed to be in good shape. Floor looks good in the pics, and the main thing I like is the bottom chain is not the old square links that wear out sliding on the floor boards, but are like a bicycle chain and bottom wear doesn't weaken them. Some on other boards have said watch out for the axle- poor design that collects manure and rots out.
