I believe you are right on the older Deere branded ones. The Frontier line blowers were built by Bervac up till 20012-3? Then they switched to a light weight cheaper brand.
The depth of the fan is a good indicator of blower capacity. The Quebec built blowers are typically 10-12 inches deep.
My Mom has a 54� older Frontier on a 23hp sub compact. That thing will move snow almost as fast as the George White 7.5� blower I had on a 135hp tractor.
