Determining age of Ford Tractor

We have recently purchased an older model Ford diesel engine tractor (maybe middle 70's) from an individual. He could not tell me the year or horsepower. I have the serial number and some other numbers from the transmission housing. How can i find the year and other information for this tractor? I would like this info so we can get the right oil filters, fuel filters, etc.
