I don't know what's out there to disable the 2015's yet. That engine is direct injected and quite a bit different from the '13 being discussed. I do know the later engine does start using oil above 100K, have a customer with a '15 that uses some. The '15 engine they upped the oil capacity to 8 quarts. Why fix the issue when you can just put a bigger pan on, right? Solid engineering there. I seriously don't know how GM forgot how to build engines. The entire GM lineup are oil users. I don't see oil usage on any other brands. I have a customer with a Honda that has nearly 400K on it that only uses 1/2 quart between 5K mile changes.
