Shaun ...... do you have to get your vehicles inspected every year?
Up here generally no .... unless you buy an older vehicle (not sure how many years old it has to be) from someone and put insurance on it with your insurance provider. Once you do that the first time, they never seem to bother you for it later on. The government does not get involved with any of this inspection stuff, maybe on bigger trucks, etc. For example, I bought a 2002 used Dodge Caravan about ten years ago, it was 6 years old at the time. My insurance outfit did not ask for an inspection and has not asked for one since. If I bought a 2002 Caravan today though, they would require one. Pretty easy inspection to pass, nothing on emissions or anything like that, just some basic safety stuff.
