No doubt it's a different story close to the border,but when you get away from it,how many millions of times more likely is it that you'll be killed or injured by an American citizen using a cell phone while driving than be threatened by an illegal alien? Why can't the cops drag you out of your car if they even see a cell phone,then detain you until you can prove you weren't using it while driving?
I can tell you why. It wasn't a campaign promise and isn't pounded in to people by a certain segment of the media every minute of the day. Just a little perspective is all I ask.
