Commercal pressure washers can be can be Expensive. I have a small home owner model that can generate 1200PSI and does a pretty good job and it only cost me about $120~. If I need hot water I hook the hose to the hot water tap or right from the drain of the tank. At the very least it takes everything that is loose off, a clean start for what can be a long job. If you pretreat the tractor with simple green or Castrol super clean so much the better. If you live near a do it your self car wash you could tow/ drive your tractor to it and have all the soap and pressurized hot water your quarters can buy. Caution, a pressure washer can inject water into places that are normally water tight! I haven't tried the Oven Cleaner trick, but I'll keep that one in mind.
