It�s easy to use them to put 100-150, maybe up to 300 lbs of product on per acre depending on the augers you have. It�s tough to get 150-180 lbs of actual N on tho. Have to move the Fert openers away from the row if you get that much N, the typical 2 inches is too close.
Typically the planter hoppers are used for a starter band of P and K and a little N as starter, 2 inches from the row.
I�ve heard of what you want to do tho, you just load the bins a lot, and need to space the Fert away from the rows more. Works easier maybe if you are in a 150bu area, going for 220bu would take a lot of material.....
