Noone replied to my post about the comparison of our A to the fords so I,ll reply to the JD 60 to the 45. I plowed with them both back in the early 60,s. The 60 belonged to an old man next to our place and pulled 3 16,s 10 in deep with no problem and no playing with the hyd cyl to keep going in 3rd gear. My father in law had a nice 45 with 3 14in allis plow on the hyd hitch which he had converted to 3 pt. When plowing the motor had good power but you were always lifting and lowering the plow in tough spots to keep from spinning. Tires were loaded and wheel whts bolted on . One set I think. 8 in deep was about all that was possible. His neighbor had a 620 with 3 bottom plow and just laughed at that allis. I liked the tractor for some stuff and the gov. was real quick but it never pulled with either of those old JD,S.
