While some of you "chicken littles" are running around saying that the sky is falling, here is something else to chew on.
We live in the cleanest industrialized nation in the world. Our cars burn fuel so cleanly that it emissions are not measurable on most readily available testing equipment. Our factories have been forced to eliminate most "smokestack" emissions. They have been forced to clean up the streams that were previously polluted. Trucks and buses are now getting almost as clean running as cars. Nuclear power plants are so tightly controlled that it is a wonder that they are able to produce any energy at all. Our landfills have become completely contained, reprocessed, recycled, and as environmentally friendly as we have been able to accomplish so far.
The majority of pollutants in our air drifts over from China, Russia, India, and several other nations that have not yet cleaned up.
So, if you want to suffer with inferior products like electric cars, then go ahead. But, don't try to force them on everybody else.
