I put a Fehr headliner kit with the plastic backing in my jd 4430 last year. I don't think it was as nice and thick as the original was but wasn't bad either. It was a lot easier to work with than trying to glue in. I did have to glue the piece that covers the cab filter. I bought a glue in cab kit from jd a few years ago and it's already falling apart. When I replace it I'll go back to Fehr and get one from them with the plastic backing. So yes they are more expensive but much easier to work with and for a nontalented individual like myself give a nicer finish. I took my time with the glue in kit last time and still ended up with a few wrinkles.
