A person's wage per hour is only part of the cost sometimes a small cost,efficiency and productivity are big parts.Local Sheetz pays around %15 hr small stations probably pay less than $10,but because of the volume of business Sheetz does with 24 gas pumps and 4 diesel pumps over a small station having maybe 4 or 6 pumps Sheetz has way less labor costs per gallon of gas sold.Good well run high volume businesses can well afford a good wage and get the better people too.
