You might take the caps off the top and check to see if the fluid level is O.K. inside battery. Whenever I charge battery's I always put the charger on the high charge setting. If your charger has a boost I wouldn't charge under that setting becuase I believe you put it on that setting when you are trying to start engine while charging. A 12 volt battery has to be charged up to a certain point I believe before the alternator will charge it. I think it is like 8 volts. Most stores that sell battery's will have a tester that can check charge and load. You could take it there for a test and since it is a newer battery, it might have some warranty on it. Charging at 6 amp would deffinately take some time. I charge mine at like 10 or 12 amp and it takes a little while to charge up a really dead one.
