The original poster asked for a recommendation on a tractor as well as a mower. I would not personally buy a tractor without a live PTO for safety and usability reasons and would not, therefore, recommend one to anyone else. I suppose that if you already had the tractor with a transmission driven PTO and then wanted to use it to cut grass, an ORC would be an alternative.
