Interesting point. My father insisted on always using the same brand oil, so I do as well,but every mechanic I talk too says that is hogwash. I really cant see why changing brands of oil would make any difference, as long as it was meeting the manufacturers specs. I tend to be old fashioned and old habits die hard, but sometimes when on a long trip, I have my car engine oil changed in one of those quickie places. Then, and it could be my imagination, it seems to use more oil between changes.
